Our Roots and Family Journey
Established in 2007, House of Honey is deeply rooted in the Gonzalez family, where our sweet journey began. Originating from Jalisco, Mexico, our family of six embraced a life-changing adventure by relocating to Surprise, Arizona, with a mission to dive into the rewarding world of beekeeping. At the helm was my dad, Vicente Gonzalez, the visionary founder of Arizona Apiaries.
Blossoming From 500 to 7000 Hives
Dad's tireless dedication was evident as he worked relentlessly to provide the strongest hives for pollinating Arizona crops. Starting with a modest 500 hives, Arizona Apiaries flourished, and today, we proudly manage over 7000 hives. Our journey has expanded beyond Arizona, reaching states like California and stretching all the way to North Dakota.
Beekeepers of Generations
In the Gonzalez family, the love for bees runs deep. Two of the four kids, Donovan and Vicente Jr., imbibed the art of beekeeping from a young age, carrying the torch and continuing the legacy. Thalia, the youngest daughter, contributes her skills to administration, while I, Leslie, am venturing into the honey distribution realm, spreading the honey love into the coffee community. Even Erika, our mom, has been a steadfast pillar of support—both in and out of the beesuit—ensuring the well-being of not just us, but our beloved bees too.
